This book is pretty basic stuff, it isn't a treatise on Small Ball or anything, just a general overview of the game with some stories thrown in. Nothing mind blowing. This book is really for newbies. If you play no-limit pretty well, you might be bored. You can hear Daniel's voice come through in the prose though and it is entertaining. "Theory of Poker" and Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book" are much better books however if you are a good player looking to improve. I also recommend Gus Hansen's "Every Hand Revealed" as it is an incredible read, you are basically sweating him through a four day multi-million dollar tournament and he goes all the way to the final table and wins giving you the nuts and bolts of EVERY HAND HE PLAYS!!! Hope this helps.

The item has arrived in perfect conditions but this is the second "Hold'em wisdom.." that i've recived because the first one was deteriorated. The reason of this was the wrapping. The mailman tried to introduce it in the mailbox and the spin of the book was broken. The second one arrived in perfect conditions.

Although I didn't finish Supersytem, this book is definitely a great one. For those of us who have been playing for a little while......I have experienced the issues he says NOT to do....it can definitely step up your game....giving different plays for different times...giving insight into what and how to play certain hands in certain situations...it was worth the purchase money

If this book were titled "Hold'em Wisdom for New Players" I would have given it 5 stars, as it does provide a lot of answers to questions a new player faces. For advanced players the book doesn't offer that much. I will say this is probably the easiest of all poker books to read and is suggested reading for the newby before you delve into the meat and potatos of poker theory and mathematics. I would recommend this book to a new poker player to be followed by Phil Gordons little Green Book. The information combined in both books will get you to the final table. They did me, since reading these two I have final tabled 7 times and still progressing.
